Tell us the run. We’ll do the rest.
Enter the clear length between your newel posts. We work out the spindle count that keeps every gap under the 100mm limit in Approved Document K, draw it, and build the parts list.
Approved Document K requires that a 100mm sphere cannot pass through any gap in the guarding. With n spindles of width w across a clear run L there are n + 1 gaps, each of (L − n·w) / (n + 1). We solve for the smallest n that keeps every gap under 99mm, leaving a millimetre of tolerance for site work.
Prices are from the cheapest matching item in each category. Send the list and we will confirm exact pricing and availability for the range and timber you picked.
